Zombies, Rosary Warriors Take to the Streets: Whose worldview will prevail?

As the world situation becomes increasingly chaotic, and as human efforts fail to solve our growing economic, social and moral troubles, some turn to God, while others turn to the macabre and preternatural.

Catholics are turning to the Fatima message of prayer and penance, amendment of life and the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Public Square Rosary Crusade has grown ever since 2007, when there were 2,107 rallies. In 2008, 3,500. In 2009, 4,337. In 2010, 5,963. In 2011, there were 7,515, and in 2012, there were 9,077 Public Square Rosary Rallies held across the United States and across the globe.

This year, on October 12, America Needs Fatima carried our rosary rallies in 11,247 locations across the United States and the world, begging for God’s mercy and guidance.

In contrast, on the very same day, a very different and disturbing event took place: The World Zombie Day.

According to the Daily Record, “more than 50 cities worldwide participate in World Zombie Day, including London, New York and Tokyo.

“Participants walked through the streets dressed as rotting corpses in tattered outfits with bloody flesh and bulging eyes on show.

While the liberal mass media ignored the groups of prayer warriors who said the Rosary at 11,247 locations worldwide, they featured the zombie crawls with reports and photo galleries.

The Huffington Post wrote:Rotting corpses, with bulging eyes and peeling flesh have been making their merry way around London landmarks on Saturday, terrifying tourists and creeping out commuters.”

These Zombies call themselves the “living dead”, and their crawls seem to be an outlet promoted by the devil to misdirect certain frustrations they have towards the mediocrity of society.

It is almost as if they feel helpless in face of the continuous decline in modern society, and think "what better" than to have it gruesomely self-destruct.  If things can only get worse, than let's hit the reset button as hard so we can and enjoy its destruction

Clash of worldviews: whose will prevail?

In this light, today’s sinful and unstable national and world situation opens two paths for suffering mankind:

1. A path of acknowledgment of the sins of the world, an asking for God’s pardon, plus the completely rational hope in the coming reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary that was promised at Fatima in 1917, when Our Lady said: “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph!”

2. A path of irrationality in face of the impending crisis that hovers over today’s world in the economy, family and government. Instead of turning to God for help and hope, these misguided souls grunt and groan in Zombie crawls.  It’s the very image of despair.

These are two completely contrary worldviews. Whose will prevail?

We already know the answer because as I said, at Fatima in 1917, Our Lady promised: “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph!”

However, this does mean that the pathway into Our Lady’s reign will be a cake walk. Yet it is encouraging to know that we Catholics are playing with a stacked deck of cards, and that Our Lady will not only win, but that She will triumph big time. May we be entirely faithful to Her Fatima message in the days leading up to Her final triumph.
