Challenging the economic crisis: organic Christian principles and the yearnings of the American Soul

So many experts talk about the country’s current economic crisis in purely technical and material terms.

Very rarely is the family mentioned.

Well, you may be wondering, what does the family have to do with the economy.

Well, everything.

The family is the organic cell of all society where we find the foundation of the moral and social virtues, which then vigorously
radiate outward to all social bodies and the state itself.

Children need families that will nurture them, guard their innocence, and develop their personalities. In particular, all children must find within their homes the Faith that enables them to know, love, and serve God in this world and be happy with Him forever in the next.

As long as the traditional family remains in crisis, the government will never be able to pay for all the services which the family naturally provides free of charge, and with true love, to its members.

Return to a wholesome society

However, it is not enough to revitalize our families. For if no man is an island, neither is the family.  The family can flourish only when it is a healthy part of a healthy whole.

That’s why we need to restore organic Christian principles in America.  All society must be involved in this veritable crusade. This is what the American soul yearns for.
