"Hell will freeze over before I vote to have it removed..." Christmas controversy heats up in Athens, Texas

The citizens of Athens, Texas are upset because a group of Freedom of Religion Foundation Atheists from Wisconsin
started an action to remove their Nativity scene and other beautiful Christmas decorations.

"Don't come down here and tell me there is no god," Henderson County Commissioner Joe Hall said.

Hall says he'll fight to keep the nativity intact.

"This nation is a Christian nation regardless of what those fruit loops and fruitcakes in Washington D.C. say," Hall said. "Hell will freeze over before I vote to have it removed."

And, his passion is echoed by people who live in Athens who are gathering signatures for a petition to keep the manger scene.

There is a highly unusual event associated with this.

The atheists validalized the statues by using permanent markers on them.  The citizens tried in vain to remove them, but to no avail.  They went back the next morning and found the statues completely cleaned!

A Miracle?  Please watch:
