Let’s be part of the battle, so we can be part of Our Lady’s triumph

St. Maximilian Kolbe, the great apostle of Mary Most Holy in the 20th century, said some amazing things about our times, devotion to Mary, and the final triumph of the Virgin over the Satan.

Here are some of his quotes:

“Modern times are dominated by Satan, and this will grow in the future.  The conflict with hell cannot be embraced by men, not even the most intelligent.  Only the Immaculate, the Virgin Mother, has the promise, given by God, of victory over Satan.”

And:

“One day, you will see the statue of the Immaculata in the center of Moscow atop the Kremlin.”

One may add to these marvelous quotes the message of Our Lady of Fatima, which confirms the urgency of our times and Her final triumph over Satan.  She said on July 13, 1917, at Fatima: “Finally, My Immaculate Heart will triumph!”

But She wants us to be part of that battle, so we can be part of that triumph.  This is confirmed by Saint Maximilian, who said:

“It is understood that whoever works for the Immaculate Virgin must be ready to suffer much.”

Just as Our Lady appeared to the 3 shepherd children at Fatima and commissioned them to spread Her Fatima message to the world, so also She commissions each one of us to spread the message to our family, friends and community.

Yes, Saint Maximilian also spurred on his disciples to great efforts to win souls, in these words:

“For us it is not merely enough to defend the Faith.  We have the fortress and, full of trust in our Leader, we go among the enemy hunting hearts to conquer for the Immaculata….Every heart that beats or will beat on earth until the end of time must become the Immaculata’s prize. This is our aim. And this as soon as possible.”

It’s not enough to sit back and watch the events unfold.

This prayer to the Immaculata, composed by Saint Maximilian Mary Kolbe, underscores the saint’s very insistent desire that we should actively partake in winning souls for Our Lady.

PRAYER

Allow me to praise Thee, O most holy Virgin Mary, with my personal commitment and sacrifice. Allow me to live, work, suffer, be consumed and die for Thee, just for Thee.

Allow me to bring the whole world to Thee.  Allow me to contribute to your ever-greater exaltation, to Thine greatest possible exaltation.  Allow me to give Thee such glory that no one else has ever given up to now.

Allow others to surpass me in zeal for Thine exaltation and me to surpass them, so that by means of such noble rivalry, your glory may increase ever more profoundly, ever more rapidly, ever more intensely as He Who has exalted Thee so indescribably, above all other beings Himself desires. Amen.

This is not an invitation to sit back and do nothing as the spiritual battle for souls rages on.

Moreover, the mission of each Catholic to spread the Fatima message is even more urgent today since the three Fatima seers Jacinta, Francisco and Sister Lucia, have already passed away, and have gone to receive their eternal destiny.

This thought of our responsibility in the battle, and of our very small – yet very real -- role in helping to bring about Our Lady’s triumph, spurs on America Needs Fatima to extend the network of rosary rallies all across America and the world.
