Muslims prayingAn official with a human rights organization says the oil rich Saudi Arabian government is promoting a virulent form of Islam to the entire world.

Recently, International Christian Concern (ICC) staffers learned that a Saudi Arabian man tortured and killed his daughter for converting to Christianity. The killer, who is in custody, works for a government entity that enforces religious purity and actively persecutes Christians in Saudi Arabia.

Chinese churches ordered to close during Olympics

secret documentsA secret Chinese government document has been uncovered that orders churches in that country to shut their doors for three months. The order is timed to coincide with the Olympic games and says church members who violate the rules will be subject to disciplinary actions of the Chinese government.

Daniel Burton is with the China Aid Association, which discovered the directive. He says the communist Chinese government will go to great lengths to create a seemingly harmonious society.

Indiana grandmas continue fight against porn

IndianaUniontown, Indiana, has been fighting a porn shop for three years since the county council permitted the business.

About three dozen area residents have been at the forefront of the fight, along with two grandmothers who have been stalwarts in the campaign. One of the grandmothers -- Joyce Gillaspy -- says they are serious about shutting down the shop.

"And some of us even went to jail in protest because we blocked the drive, trying to finish the building, from getting it done [sic]," she said. Several have maintained a vigil and they say it has worked because truckers have stopped visiting the shop. "We call and let the companies know their trucks are in this porn store, and they don't want their trucks being seen [there]," says Gillaspy.

38 year old Fr. Thomas Pandippallyil, was assassinate don the night of August 16th on his way to a village to celebrate Sunday mass. His body showed signs of torture, with wounds to his face, his hands and legs broken and his eyes pulled from their sockets. The bishop of Hyderabad denounces the growing climate of “violence against Catholics” in the country.
